If you would have told me a couple years ago that I’d be working with Thomas Frank, I would have said no way!
I’m one of those huge nerds who remembers history facts better than I remember my own appointments. I love learning new things. Somewhere along the way, I picked up a slight obsession for productivity and life-optimization. It was an obsession that would, eventually, lead me to discover College Info Geek.
See, right around when I was just getting into the science of productivity, I was starting my first year as a dual-enrollment student at Portland Community College. I spent a lot of time on Thomas’ Youtube channel, absorbing information, taking notes, and I have to say…his stuff really works.
After college, I worked a couple soulless part-time jobs, completely unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. Eventually, I decided to give freelance writing a go. I set up my own website, picked up some jobs here and there, and slowly built my own business. Then, something crazy happened.
College Info Geek was building a writing team.
I thought, “ah, why not?”, and applied…and, well, here I am.
Sometimes, it’s still weird to me that I’m a part of this thing, but honestly I’m having a blast.
When I’m not working on articles for College Info Geek, I’m spending a lot of time out in the rain in my home city of Portland, OR. I play DnD on the weekends, enjoy gaming and nerding out over my favorite TV shows and films, and playing with my cat.
I also work on my own blog, Beautifully Weird Words, all about helping Millennials create lives they’re in love with. Check it out, if you’re curious.
