Hi there. I’m Thomas, and I make videos like this:
Several people have asked me how I make these videos, so I decided to create a short course that goes through my process.
This is a fun little side project for me, so I’m not going to worry about marketing and launch strategies and stuff. Here are the details in full.
I’m working on this course in my free time, so based on my current project load and my upcoming trip to Japan, I’m planning on launching it sometime in June.
It’ll cost $49.
The course will contain 8 core videos, and in them I’ll guide you through my entire video creation process – starting from defining my topic and ending with uploading the video to YouTube. Here’s the full list:
- Introduction Video
- Topic Capture, Research, and “Scripting”
- Setting Up to Film
- Actually Filming
- Post-Processing and “Prelim” Edits
- Planning and Creating B-Roll
- Final Edits and Exporting
- Thumbnails, Uploading, and Other Bits
There will also be two bonus videos – one showing you some things I do to save time, and one pointing you lots of other video education resources and places where you can find assets like music, graphics, etc.
This is not an in-depth course on any one aspect of video. I won’t be explaining the types of lenses or how an editing timeline works or anything like that.
Instead, I’ll simply be walking you through my process. Think of it like being behind me and getting to see everything I do to bring a video to life. I’ll use one of my actual videos as a case study, so you’ll be able to see the finished product on YouTube before you even buy the course.
If you’re interested, enter your email in the box below and I’ll keep you updated on when the course is planned to launch.
